Pizza Evening | Organic Local Table at Farm Dining
The long dusty drive is worth it. It might be some of the best pizzas I’ve come across in this world. I’ve had pizza in Italy, Chicago, New York, and Costa Rica (although they are a close competitor there) you get it. Pizza is one of my favorite things to eat, so as extensive as my past travels have been, so has the sample data.
So I may repeat. Their pizzas are THAT fantastic.
Is it the organic tomatoes? Is it the happy pigs that make their nitrate-free uncured sausages? Is it that everything minus the cheese comes from the very farm where you are sitting? Is it the authentic ambiance, the live music, the families coming together?
I think it is all of the above.
It is a delight to drive down the numerous gravel dusty roads to arrive.
The winters are long, and the opening in April is a hopeful sign of summer finally being around the corner. A summer filled with making memories with family and good pizzas that don’t make you feel sick, heavy, or bloated after. For me, I have become so sensitive to toxic, nutrient-depleted food it is a welcome blessing to be able to go out, share a pitcher of raw organic beer (the healthy kind) and enjoy a meal that I feel calm isn’t slowly poisoning me like so many other “foods” are that we encounter when we leave the house.
This past weekend we had the added bonus of gleaning the leftover strawberries in the field.A great way to wrap up the balmy summer evening.
