Looking Forward to Spring

Hey everyone!

I can't believe that it is mid-March already, where has the time gone?! It is already almost my birthday, what is this?! I feel like the years are just go by quicker and quicker with each passing year. It was over a year ago now that I was on the beach in Thailand. Now I'm not even sure when I'll leave Sweden again. It is crazy how things change.

To recap some of the things that have been happening for the last couple of weeks I can share some of the cute places that I went to eat and just a little of what has been going on.

I first decided to go to the Beyond Retro garage sale. We waited in line for about 2 hours and then finally got in. Honestly the clothing inside wasn't that great it was mostly like going to Goodwill except it was massively crowded and hard to find anything but oh well!

After that I finally got my iPhone in the mail, horray! Except I had the weirdest error on the screen that didn't let me properly set up the phone. I was on the phone for at least 3 hours trying to figure out what was wrong. No one had heard of the issue! Finally I ended up going all the way up to the Apple store in Täby and they hadn't seen the issue either! Luckily they had great customer support and were able to help me.

After that situation that took all day I went over to the Caliente Tapas Bar here in Stockholm for the Crossfire Comedy night hosted by the Americans in Sweden group. Greg Poehler was the headliner. It was a really funny/fun way to spend a Monday night! Especially after running around so much before.

Wednesday was Amanda's birthday so we went for dinner at Koh Phangan in Södermalm. What a fun little Thai place. It was beach themed and black lit so it was a really psychedelic eating experience. Nice to feel like we were back in Thailand since we were there last year for her birthday.

Earlier in the day we had a birthday lunch/fika at Snickarbacken 7. I really love that cafe. It is so cozy with fantastic salads. I have now had the salmon salad and the Caesar salad. Both were so fantastic! I highly recommend them. They also have an excellent Matcha Latte, probably the best I've had in Stockholm. They don't use as much sugar as most people do so it is more pure matcha, just how I like it! Been on the matcha fan club for a while so it was a pleasant surprise to finally find a place that did it right. :)

That Friday a group of friends and I went to a techno party. It was a really nice one not too crowded and a great group of people. Such a nice energy at the party!

This past week was also super productive.  I had a lot of class and gym days. On Thursday I thought it would be a good idea to go out in Östermalm, ugh Stureplan. Why?! My biggest annoyance with Stockholm would probably have to be the absurdity of trying to go out in Sture. I do understand that it is trying to be exclusive or whatever. Yet why? If you want to go out there god forbid you didn't put your email on their website to get on this magical "list" that you put your own self on... Yet there is a list, but it doesn't guarantee you get in. In addition to this "list" it wasn't my intention to even go out that Thursday, so then yet again god forbid spontaneity! We eventually ended up going to Soap Bar.

Ah Soap bar. I think I will stop this rant here and save a guide to bars and neighborhoods for a future post. **idea time***

Then finally to conclude the weekly recap I went out this Thursday to Södra Teatern to a crazy techno/punk/ god knows what party! It was like being at someone's maze mansion with a million stairs. I wasn't sure about going out Saturday but we ended up having a great time!

I also stopped by my favorite little bakery and stocked up on my fav Club Mate!

So now looking forward this week to my birthday, don't really know what to do there but I'll have to make some plans by Weds. It is shit time since everyone has exams. I also start work at a new job tomorrow! eek! I'm nervous! Then I have an exam so this week is going to be a busy one as well. I'm excited for my bike to come in tomorrow though. :) It is my birthday present to myself.

So this was a long recap even a rant. I hope that gets you updated enough! :)
