View from my phone- Weeks 8-12
As I've repeatedly mentioned I am going to be posting more frequently on here. I have always disliked posting too much on social media and I prefer having control of the content posted. These last weeks have been hectic since right before Valentine's Day up until now. Now I shall attempt to summarize.
Felix and I had an amazing spicy chicken Valentine's day dinner at Mama Kelly's. I'm also obsessed with their interior. It is over the top and pink and I love it! Plus the food is super yummy.
We have been busy moving and organizing, but finally Amsterdammers! This has been a dream of mine since I first went to Amsterdam when I was 15. Also, I love my pink glasses that I made. I found the frame in an old graveyard of discarded and unloved frames and tinted the lenses. If anyone is interested in some custom vintage sunnies let me know maybe we can make some!
Finally got to try reformer pilates, and it kicked my ass. Was so fun though! I need to go again, but I had food poisoning or the flu last week combined with moving a ton of furniture so I couldn't find the motivation. Also, I got to poach some eggs, which I love doing, I know it's nerdy but I love poaching the perfect breakfast egg. Another thing of mine that I got to do was buy a plant! I missed my monstera I had to leave in Stockholm so here is my new baby.
Then we drove over to Germany last weekend and had some fun on the Autobahn going rather fast.
Finally feeling a little more settled and had a fika at Lot 61, and a drink at the Pulitzer Amsterdam. Both were excellent and can recommend. The canals were frozen this week, for the first time in six years! So it was incredible to see all the Dutchies skating around while strolling on the grachts. Plus I was doing some thrifting and found this insanely cool Goyard trunk at Tertius, and a nice oversized trench. The plastic legs are just creepy and cool to me ;) It seems metaphorical that even the perfection of the plastic mannequin just deteriorates.
So here is my attempt at summarizing the stress of moving and relocating all while being sick with food poisoning. I love capturing the small happy moments. Because when you look back at them you forget all the other not as nice moments. Amazing how the mind works!
