Artipoppe Zeitgeist Review

Finally feeling confident in using our carrier now that B has gotten a little bigger. I had to ask my husband for help with adjusting the buttons to the correct size, and now that it is fixed it has been so great to be hands-free!

It was a long search to find a carrier to meet our needs.

We wanted one that was first of all made with natural materials. The Artipoppe Zeitgeist we selected is 60% cashmere 25% cotton and 15% silk. The fabric feels like a soft nubby thick tweed. It is perfect for the wintertime to keep us warm. I love how soft the fabric is, it does not feel like Artipoppe skimped on the thickness or softness of the materials.

Secondly, I was looking for a carrier that I would be able to pop in and out of quickly and efficiently if we are going in and out of the car, or need to do a diaper change. Now that I have gotten the hang of it, the Zeitgeist is perfect to be hands-free when needed to keep B consistently with me, as well as having the ease of taking him in and out easily.

So far I really love the carrier, I was intimidated by it at first, but now it has exceeded my expectations. It is beautiful to look at and doesn’t feel like a cheesy baby accessory. I am thankful for the Dutch design, it fits my height and width perfectly. It was important to me to have something I would actually want to wear, and not just a compromise of it “working” to hold a baby- but not being functional, natural materials, pretty etc.

The only thing we really disliked was the packaging. We found the Isis illustration extremely inappropriate for a children’s item. It featured naked goddesses, which in my opinion is not a message that needs to be on a baby carrier box. It is in poor taste and pushing a narrative that I would omit. You can include art on the packaging, but remember who and what the product is for, a baby.

Besides the agenda-pushing packaging, we really are pleased with our carrier. It is beautiful and meets our needs. We purchased this not for the allure of the designer brand, but rather for the materials used combined with the aesthetics. I do love the vicuña carrier, but I do wonder about the amount of stress that could bring to try to keep it clean with a baby!

I can recommend the Artipoppe Zeitgeist, in my opinion, it is worth it. Beautiful, good quality, and cozy. I would want to be wrapped up in a cashmere kangaroo pouch, and it seems like B is extremely cozy and snuggly in there.
