Bruges

Oh no! I just wrote the post here and it all deleted! I hate when technology ruins your writing flow. Oh well I will try to remember what I said! 

Hey there, 

So I had the opportunity earlier this month to have a short road trip to Bruges. I think I was inspired by the movie In Bruges, which I casually re-watched while in Bruges, clever I know. Or I don't know, just thought it would be fun to see some part of Belgium. The tough part about being based in Amsterdam is that it is exciting, so mini trips are going to be more on the relaxing side than anything else. We had a joke that we saw 7 of the 10 trip advisor must sees while walking from the car to the hotel. Overall Bruges is insanely beautiful with the Medieval architecture and the canals. We just had one night there which I think was a nice taste of the city and a good little getaway. It was also a plus that we got to stop at the beach on the way home. 

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Casselbergh it had such an amazing location and the room was really nice with a high ceiling and the breakfast was also yummy. I am glad that I did some research to stay in a nice location since the weather was really bad the first night and it wouldn't have been nice trying to see the city center in the midst of battling the wind! I had an epic lunch at #food. It a was cranberry, gorgonzola, pear burger with an incredible salad. The interior was trying a little too hard to be trendy, but the food was good so it made up for that. I guess I failed a little by not having a waffle or chocolate.. but I did manage to have the Mussels frites. I forgot where I ate them at though, but you can find them at a lot of the places in Bruges. So thats about it for Bruges. Just one night there, not too much to say.
