Switzerland

Lately I have been thinking more about trying to re-start keeping my blog. I have tried a new layout from my old style that I had. Now I have included a travel section where I can post some more galleries of images divided by country. While here I will try to include some text and more candid images.

I decided to start again since now I am finishing up my university thesis and will have some more time to focus, move again, and I will try to document it all more. Crazy how quick time has gone, just two more weeks until I have to hand in my thesis then I will hopefully get my degree!

Now I'll share a little from the road trip Felix and I took to Lucerne. We decided to book a spontaneous trip to celebrate carnival in Lucerne. We drove from Frankfurt and had a quick but great food trip.  I tried my first fondue, which was amazing and homemade! Afterwards we passed out from a cheese and bread overload. One day we drove to Mt. Titlis then went up to the top to the suspension bridge and had a rather cold champagne picnic. Sadly we didn't have enough time this trip to go skiing, so a picnic sufficed.

I really enjoyed the cheese shop in Lucerne and only went slightly crazy wanting to try them all. The food in Switzerland is insanely good, but it is expensive. One of the best meals we had was a table made schnitzel from the Old Swiss House. They prepare the schnitzel at your table so you get to anxiously await the delicious piece of deep fried in butter meat. I am longing for this schnitzel again while I write this! I was told it is a little touristy there, but it is worth a trip while in Lucerne!

Anyways, food aside, Lucerne and Meggen Switzerland are magical cities and I cannot wait to return this summer.
