Estelle & Thild Review — Elizabeth Vanderblank

Update 2019

Estelle & Thild remains my face wash of choice.

There has been a reformulation since the original writing of this article in 2014. Admittedly, the original was better. The original felt more “natural” than the new version. The fragrance had a more gentle floral aroma compared to the new one.

Without beating around the bush, products I continue to use after almost 5 years are as followed:

Biocleanse Multi-Action Cleansing Gel

This wash still is everything I was looking for a face wash. It is gentle, does not dry out my naturally dry tendency skin. The bottle says that it washes away impurities and makeup without stripping the skin. What can I say, that’s what it does. It washes off mascara and most of the other things that we apply to our faces. I will admit, I still need to use some Micellar Water either before or after.
It is a soap and works as well as one can hope a soap can.

Disclaimer: Lately I have been experimenting with oil cleansing so this is not used as daily but at least 3 times a week.

BIocleanse Deep cleaning detox mask

After using this mask for many years I still cannot replicate the glow from anything else like I do after using this one.
It is quick 3-5 min (but it usually stays on longer) it is not as heavy or messy as a clay mask and it leaves your skin so damn soft. Whenever dewy glowy skin is needed just put this on and a little vitamin-C serum and no highlighter is needed.

Cons: It is sad to see on the bottle that the Cleansing Gel is only 20% organic.

Neroli Eye Balm

3/5 stars

This was a decent eye cream, it did its job and was used until it finished. Did not repurchase though.

Skin Daily Moisturizer

2.5/5 stars

Average face cream was a light scent. Maybe would repurchase but cannot remember too much about it.

Super Bioactive Age Defense Serum
3/5 stars

The serums left my face feeling nice without too much residue, but I do not remember being too impressed by this or it has just been too long to remember.

Rose Otto Serum

4/5 stars

This serum I remember really liking and it was a great product. I think it was dropped one day and the glass broke. Again, this was not repurchased but there are fond memories.

Sweet Vanilla Blossom Body Butter

This body cream was great for a body lotion. The smell was like a gentle orange blossom and vanilla. I have been trying to repurchase multiple times but every time an effort has been made it has been sold out! Great scent and non-greasy cream.

Hey there! I am so happy to write that I finally picked up more Estelle & Thild products at the pharmacy the other day! Their products are amazing! Everything is certified organic and they only use pure ingredients.

I was first introduced to their products over a year ago. I bought the Sensitive Skin Fragrance Free face wash and wow! I swear by it! Before I could only wash my face with plain water because every face wash would dry out my skin way too much. I tried every kind of face wash imaginable. When I used the Estelle and Thild face wash my skin felt clean, fresh, and most importantly not dry!

This time I picked up the Sensitive Skin Daily Moisturizer and the Super Bioactive Age Defense Serum. The Estelle and Thild website says this about the serum:

An age-defying, highly charged serum for supple, youthful skin.This bioactive concentrate revitalizes skin, boosts moisture levels and prevents lines and wrinkles. Boosts collagen production for a more supple, even skin tone, while hyaluronic acid adds moisture for a plumping, line-softening effect. Enriched with astaxanthin from marine microalgae to fight free radicals and reduce UV damage.

Now after about of week of use my skin feels as soft as ever and I don't have any breakouts. Good Deal!

I also have the Neroli Eye Balm, and I used to have the Rose Otto Serum and Cream, but those have gone missing. :(

I am in love with everything from Estelle and Thild and would recommend their Swedish beauty products to everyone!

In addition to the Estelle and Thild I also picked up the Ren Clarimatte Invisible Pores Detox Mask.

A detoxifying clay mask designed to reduce the appearance of pore size and leave the skin purified, smooth and toned.

Tried this mask once already. I was happy with the results and I'm looking forward to using it this week. :) The smell was nice and it left my face looking cleaner and didn't bother my skin.
